It's time to crown San Diego's fastest wiener dog!



The 15th annual Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals  

Kicks off in San Diego Saturday, August 20th at Qualcomm this is a production of the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl. 

Festivities include racing dachshunds, rescue row, food, drinks, and more. And it's free to spectors! 

From these qualifying round at Qualcomm, Some where out of the ranks of the 400 or more Expected dachshunds. The top sixteen dogs will be chosen for their racing times and will advance to the San Diego final on Labor Day at the Del Mar Race Track. This year's finalists at the Del Mar Race track will receive the opportunity to march with the Wienerschnitzel float in the nationally televised parade. 

The top dog from San Diego will advance to the championship race at the Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade presented by the San Diego County Credit Union.

Any dachshund may participate!

Admission to the event is free to humans and non-racing dogs.
 

When: Saturday, August 20, 2011
      8:00am - Registration/Check-in
      9:00am - First Races
 

Where: Qualcomm Stadium Rugby Fields (Near Section J-5 in the Stadium Parking Lot)
