Starting another Grand Adventure - traveling with our dogs - 2022

On this trip, we should make about 8,000 miles and complete our US state visits.

Initially in 2018 did a 9,000-mile trip in a bongo buggy (kind of like a conversion van) visiting well know landmarks with our dogs.

You can see that trip and photo starting at https://www.facebook.com/MilaMiesner use the back arrow or https://www.facebook.com/saved/?list_id=564287392369338&referrer=SAVE_DASHBOARD_NAVIGATION_PANEL

That one was tracked mainly on Facebook but some of the photos are here on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/milamiesner/saved/2018-trip/17995708618552356/

We also did an interesting Buda wiener dog trip I blogged here https://doxie86.blogspot.com/2016/05/adventure-on-our-road-trip-to-wiener.html

This time we will be going by Jeep and staying at hotels plus entering a variety of Dachshund events in several states.

Earthdog test with the Puget Sound Earthdog Club

Saturday and Sunday, October 22&23 in Rochester, WA

Hunting Performance Test

Monday, October 24, 2022, Sponsored by the Basset Hound Club of Greater Seattle and Basset Hound Club of Whidbey Island in Castle Rock, Washington

When there we want to run a pack but all the other entries are bassets. We still need two more dachshunds if anyone is interested in joining us. If not, we will run it as a brace.

Then on to North Dakota. From there we drop down to Little Rock Arkansas for 2 more states on our list to visit.

An Earthdog Test – in Huntsville Alabama Saturday and Sunday, November 5 & 6

From there Frankfort Kentucky and West Virginia rounding out our 50-state list and yes, we have been to Alaska and Hawaii just not with the dogs.

Then we head up to Field Trials in Portland, Indiana for a 4-day event.

From there we are heading to Jeeps breeders house in Michigan to see what dogs she has so Jeep can visit with family

Then we start our trek back home so we can arrive there before Thanksgiving.

We have some interesting stops If the weather holds. So come with us on this journey. We should get some good photos of interesting places; we will rate the hotels we have chosen (even the teepee we booked) and share our adventures.

This was a massive undertaking in planning this trip, especially with trying to get back home by thanksgiving so here are a few of the tools I used.
